Special Mission Projects
Sprott Christian Youth Center:
The church is working in cooperation with other churches and community groups to restore an old school gymnasium in Moncure. This Center will be used for sports ministries to children, community meetings, family reunions, fundraisers, worship services, and similar activities.
Community Missions:
The church maintains this missions fund to meet the needs of people in crisis situations and to support various mission projects. Our church donates 3% of all undesignated offerings to this fund. We also conduct fundraising projects as needed to maintain this fund. Over the past decade dozens of people and ministries have been helped as the church has paid medical bills, paid utility bills, bought tires, repaired cars, given Christmas gifts to children, paid funeral expenses, and assisted people whose homes had burned, just to name a few needs met.
Benevolent Construction Projects:
Our church is blessed to have a lot of members with good construction and mechanical skills (handyman ministers). Consequently, we have on frequent occasions repaired roofs, replaced doors, hung sheetrock walls, painted, and done similar work for people with limited financial resources.
